Priest Lake, Idaho

Priest Lake, Idaho

Indian Creek and Luby Bay
July 3-21st

We are home for a couple days after spending almost 3 weeks at one of the most AMAZING places on earth....Priest Lake.  It was so hard to leave, but we had so much laundry and Curt has to work for a couple of days before we head out to California.

Our favorite hike at Indian Creek was called the Viewpoint Trail.  We must have done it at least 5 times during the time that we were there.  It has a beautiful view of Priest Lake.

Before we left, I got a great new game for my birthday from the Hammond family.
National Park Monopoly...it was a huge hit.  It got the boys super excited to see more National Parks on our trip this summer.

For my birthday present from the boys, they used their own money to rent a canoe for the day.
We rowed to Eight Mile Island...and believe me it seemed 8 miles away...even though it was only a couple miles each way.  Curt did the most rowing of all.

When we were at Luby Bay, some of our best friends, the Hammonds came to visit for 3 days.
Yep...we all fit in the 5th wheel...which was a miracle in and of itself.
We have a great time at the beach and especially playing pickleball at Hills Resort everyday.

Jordan was loving his new book...even reading in the dark with his head set.  So CUTE!!

We had a great time with the Tucker family too.  We have camped with them two years in a row...so fun!
They know tons of great hikes at Indian Creek...this one was to a pretty forest waterfall.
They taught the boys how to play different card games...including EXTREME SPOONS!

Our next post will likely be from Santa Cruz, CA.  We will make our way down there this week, stopping in Bend, OR, Crater Lake National Park and to visit the McCaulife family.  We are excited about the next 6 weeks as our adventures continue.

  1. Sounds like great fun and lots of good memories. Say Hi to Amie for me! Santa Cruz is great. Make sure to visit the small aquatic museum run by UC Santa Cruz when you are there.
