Hoopfest-----Spokane, Washington
We just wrapped up a very fun and completly exhausting Hoopfest weekend.
For those of you from outside of Spokane, Hoopfest is a huge 3 on 3 baskeball outdoor basketball tournament. There are over 28,000 athletes and thousands of fans. It literally takes over the downtown streets of Spokane. It is like a holiday in our household...the countdown to next years Hoopfest starts the day is ends. So...365 more days until next Hoopfest.
We camped with all of Curt's teamates and their wonderful families for 2 nights and then moved our camp to the Mulder house for a weekend of basketball games. It is so fun to reconnect each year and catch up on the happenings from the past year. The kids have become great friends, which is such a blessing. The other night at dinner the 8 kids sat at the table and talked forever. It was so cute.
Here is Jordan's team....Spokane Spartans.
Jordan has played with these guys for the past three years.
They played great through the rain on Saturday and the scorching heat on Sunday.
They lost a heartbreaking game to take 2nd place.
They were disappointed, but we were so proud of them.
Here is Curt's team....Short but Really Slow.
His teammates are friends from the PLU football team.
He plays with Travis Ness, Scott Estes and Kirk Estes.
We are so thankful that they are willing to travel from Arkansas, Las Vegas and Tacoma to play each year.
The won the championship this year, which was awesome.
I think this is there 10th year as a team.
Here is Benjamina and Bradley's team...Spokane Storm.
This was their very first Hoopfest and they did awesome.
They played with Ryan and Christian.(little brothers of Jordan's teammates)
Curt was their coach and I was so proud of their great effort and heart.
They have many great Hoopfests in their future.
We are so blessed to have 3 AMAZING Fans who come to so many of the boys games.
Grandma Snowdon, Papa Bob and Uncle Dave.
We are so blessed by their love and support.
Kristen surprised the kids with a fun pinata at Riverside State Park.
The kids loved it...especially all the treats inside.
EMAL brothers!!
